A real, expensive problem.
American small businesses overpay $18–24 billion a year in avoidable processing fees. We audit it, replace it, and broker it fairly — all in one place.
PayMullet is a payments company run by payments people — underwriters, risk analysts, ops leads, and engineers who grew up inside the processors and banks that move most of the world’s card volume. We’re building the company we always wished existed: radically transparent pricing, actual humans answering the phone, and tools that don’t look like they were designed in 2003.
Most merchants hate their processor. Most agents hate their ISO. Most employees at both hate their job. We’re the team fixing all three — and we’re doing it with people who’ve been on the inside long enough to know where the real bodies are buried.

Flat org chart, no committees. Propose it Monday, ship it Wednesday. Reversible decisions move at the speed of typing.
No brilliant jerks. No heroic burnout. Kind, sharp adults who ship on a calendar you can explain to your partner.
Built in Dallas with a tight in-person team. We hire people who want to be in the room with their teammates, not a Zoom tile of them.
Not the processor, not the bank, not the MCC. Every call we make starts from: what does the business owner actually need to keep the doors open?
If we can’t explain a fee, a decision, or a policy in one sentence, we don’t ship it. Every Schedule A is line-itemed. Every rejection has a reason.
Draft, send, ship, fix. A rough thing shipped on Thursday beats a perfect thing shipped next quarter. Reversible decisions move at the speed of typing.
Decisions live in docs, not DMs. If it matters, it’s written. New teammates should be able to ramp by reading — not by sitting in meetings.
“Not my job” is not in our vocabulary. We measure people by what moved, not what was attempted. We also make sure you have the authority to finish what you start.
Great work comes from people who sleep, see their kids, and take actual vacations. We plan work around that, not against it.
No cute-phrase benefits pages. Here’s exactly what you get.
Don’t see a fit? We hire exceptional payments, risk, and product people any time of year. Apply to the “General” role at the bottom and tell us what you’d build here.
Build, coach, and run the sales floor. You own quota across inside and outside teams, the daily standups, the pipeline reviews, and the ramp plan for every new rep. You report to a founder.
You close. Our inside team and appointment-setters fill your calendar; your job is to walk in, run the meeting, demo the savings, and bring the merchant home. Restaurants, retail, high-risk verticals — you’ll see them all.
You close over the phone and over Zoom. Inbound leads, statement reviews, and warm hand-offs from the marketing team feed your queue. You build the savings analysis, walk the merchant through it, and get the deal signed without an in-person meeting.
You sit on the sales floor and you dial. Hundreds of calls a day to qualified merchant lists, with one job: book the appointment for an outside rep. You’re the engine that fills the calendar.
You’re the human on the other end when a merchant calls in. Terminal issues, batch questions, statement reads, deposit timing — you triage it, resolve what you can, and route what you can’t. Merchants remember the rep that picked up. That’s you.
We hire exceptional payments, risk, product, engineering, design, and ops people whenever they show up. If you’ve read the values, the benefits, and the roles above and you still want in — tell us what you’d build here and why it matters.
We read every application. We reply to every one.
No hundred-field forms, no “tell us your biggest weakness” essays. Just enough to decide if there’s a real match — and we’ll reply within 24 hours.
Your application is in. A real person will read it and reply within 24 hours. Keep an eye on your inbox (and your spam folder).
Three stages, two weeks or less. (1) A 30-min intro call with our recruiter. (2) A 45-min deep-dive with the hiring manager — role, day-to-day, expectations. (3) A working session with the team you’d join, plus a values-fit with a founder. Offer within 48 hours of the final round.
We can sponsor H-1B transfers and O-1s on a case-by-case basis for senior roles. We don’t do green-card sponsorship from scratch yet, but we’ll support you once you’re on the team.
Most roles work out of our Dallas HQ. A few are hybrid or field-based for outside sales — we’ll call it out in the role description.
Yes — for inside sales, marketing, and customer support roles. Outside sales and management hires usually have prior payments or B2B sales experience. The General app is open, and we read everything.
Apply anyway. The research is unambiguous: people who self-select out of applying lose out on jobs they’d have gotten. We’d rather read your resume and write you back than never see it.
