We're hiring

Build the payments industry
we all deserve.

PayMullet is a payments company run by payments people — underwriters, risk analysts, ops leads, and engineers who grew up inside the processors and banks that move most of the world’s card volume. We’re building the company we always wished existed: radically transparent pricing, actual humans answering the phone, and tools that don’t look like they were designed in 2003.

Why PayMullet

Payments doesn’t have to be a dumpster fire. We’re proving it.

Most merchants hate their processor. Most agents hate their ISO. Most employees at both hate their job. We’re the team fixing all three — and we’re doing it with people who’ve been on the inside long enough to know where the real bodies are buried.

A real, expensive problem.

American small businesses overpay $18–24 billion a year in avoidable processing fees. We audit it, replace it, and broker it fairly — all in one place.

Decisions in hours.

Flat org chart, no committees. Propose it Monday, ship it Wednesday. Reversible decisions move at the speed of typing.

Humans over process.

No brilliant jerks. No heroic burnout. Kind, sharp adults who ship on a calendar you can explain to your partner.

Dallas-anchored.

Built in Dallas with a tight in-person team. We hire people who want to be in the room with their teammates, not a Zoom tile of them.

What we believe

Six operating principles. We actually live by them.

  1. 01

    The merchant is the customer.

Not the processor, not the bank, not the MCC. Every call we make starts from: what does the business owner actually need to keep the doors open?

  2. 02

    Transparency is the product.

If we can’t explain a fee, a decision, or a policy in one sentence, we don’t ship it. Every Schedule A is line-itemed. Every rejection has a reason.

  3. 03

    Default to action.

Draft, send, ship, fix. A rough thing shipped on Thursday beats a perfect thing shipped next quarter. Reversible decisions move at the speed of typing.

  4. 04

    Write it down.

Decisions live in docs, not DMs. If it matters, it’s written. New teammates should be able to ramp by reading — not by sitting in meetings.

  5. 05

Own the outcome, not the task.

“Not my job” is not in our vocabulary. We measure people by what moved, not what was attempted. We also make sure you have the authority to finish what you start.

  6. 06

    Have a life.

Great work comes from people who sleep, see their kids, and take actual vacations. We plan work around that, not against it.

  • Sales

    Sales Manager

    Dallas, TX · In-office Full-time

    The role

Build, coach, and run the sales floor. You own quota across inside and outside teams, the daily standups, the pipeline reviews, and the ramp plan for every new rep. You report to a founder.

    You’ll

    • Hire, ramp, and coach a team of inside reps, outside reps, and appointment-setters
    • Own monthly and quarterly quota across the team
    • Run daily standups, call reviews, and weekly 1:1s with every rep
    • Partner with the founders on territory, comp design, and ICP refinement

    You have

    • 3+ years managing a B2B sales team, ideally in payments, SaaS, or financial services
    • Hands-on experience carrying and hitting a quota yourself
    • A coaching style that builds reps up, not a script you read at them
    • Comfort with CRM hygiene, dashboards, and the boring metrics that drive growth

    Nice to have

    • Prior payments processing or merchant services experience
    • Built a sales team from 0 to 10+ reps
  • Sales

    Outside Sales Rep

    Field-based · US Full-time

    The role

You close. Our inside team and appointment-setters fill your calendar; your job is to walk in, run the meeting, demo the savings, and bring the merchant home. Restaurants, retail, high-risk verticals — you’ll see them all.

    You’ll

    • Run 8–15 in-person merchant meetings a week from a pre-booked calendar
    • Read a processing statement, build a savings comparison, and close on the spot when possible
    • Hand off cleanly to underwriting and deployment so the merchant goes live in 72 hours
    • Stay close to your book post-close — retention is comp’d, not just new logos

    You have

    • 2+ years in field sales — payments, merchant services, B2B SaaS, or telecom
    • A real driver’s license and a car you don’t mind logging miles on
    • The kind of follow-through that turns a “maybe next quarter” into a signed MPA
    • Comfort presenting numbers and walking a merchant through a fee analysis

    Nice to have

    • Prior ISO or processor experience
    • Vertical expertise (restaurants, retail, services, high-risk)
  • Sales

    Inside Sales Rep

    Dallas, TX · In-office Full-time

    The role

You close over the phone and over Zoom. Inbound leads, statement reviews, and warm hand-offs from the marketing team feed your queue. You build the savings analysis, walk the merchant through it, and get the deal signed without an in-person meeting.

    You’ll

    • Run 30+ calls a week with merchants who’ve already raised their hand
    • Pull and read processing statements, build the comparison, present it live
    • Close deals end-to-end — e-sign the MPA, hand to underwriting, follow through to first swipe
    • Keep CRM clean and your forecast honest

    You have

    • 1+ year in inside sales, BDR, or AE work — payments or fintech a plus
    • A clear phone voice and the discipline to make the dials
    • Numbers comfort — you can do percent-and-basis-point math without a calculator panic
    • Hunger. We’re building a sales floor, not babysitting one

    Nice to have

    • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or a similar CRM
    • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • Marketing

    Marketer — Appointment Setter

    Dallas, TX · In-office Full-time

    The role

You sit on the sales floor and you dial. Hundreds of calls a day to qualified merchant lists, with one job: book the appointment for an outside rep. You’re the engine that fills the calendar.

    You’ll

    • Make 150–300 dials a day from curated merchant lists
    • Qualify on the call — processing volume, current processor, decision-maker
    • Book the appointment, send the confirmation, log the lead in CRM
    • Hit a daily and weekly appointment-set target

    You have

    • A great phone voice and thick skin — rejection is part of the rhythm
    • Energy. You’ll be on the phone most of the day with a team that’s doing the same
    • Basic CRM literacy or the willingness to learn quickly
    • A goal of moving up into inside sales within 12 months — we promote from this seat

    Nice to have

    • Prior call-center or appointment-setting experience
    • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • Customer Support

    Customer Support Specialist

    Dallas, TX · In-office Full-time

    The role

You’re the human on the other end when a merchant calls in. Terminal issues, batch questions, statement reads, deposit timing — you triage it, resolve what you can, and route what you can’t. Merchants remember the rep that picked up. That’s you.

    You’ll

    • Answer inbound merchant calls, emails, and chats during business hours
    • Troubleshoot terminal connectivity, batch issues, and basic processing questions
    • Walk merchants through their statements and deposit timing
    • Escalate cleanly to risk, deployment, or engineering when you hit the edge of your knowledge
    • Log every ticket so we can spot patterns and fix the root cause

    You have

    • 1+ year in customer support, customer success, or a call-center role
    • Patience. Real, deep, never-ruffled patience
    • Clear written and spoken English — merchants quote what you say
    • A “solve it once, document it forever” instinct

    Nice to have

    • Prior payments, POS, or merchant-services support experience
    • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • General

Before you apply

The questions we hear most.

What’s the interview process?

Three stages, two weeks or less. (1) A 30-min intro call with our recruiter. (2) A 45-min deep-dive with the hiring manager — role, day-to-day, expectations. (3) A working session with the team you’d join, plus a values-fit with a founder. Offer within 48 hours of the final round.

Do you sponsor visas?

We can sponsor H-1B transfers and O-1s on a case-by-case basis for senior roles. We don’t do green-card sponsorship from scratch yet, but we’ll support you once you’re on the team.

Are roles in-person?

Most roles work out of our Dallas HQ. A few are hybrid or field-based for outside sales — we’ll call it out in the role description.

Do you hire new grads and career switchers?

Yes — for inside sales, marketing, and customer support roles. Outside sales and management hires usually have prior payments or B2B sales experience. The General app is open, and we read everything.

What if I’m not sure I’m qualified?

Apply anyway. The research is unambiguous: people who self-select out of applying lose out on jobs they’d have gotten. We’d rather read your resume and write you back than never see it.
